A great start for Coffee Mingel

Coffee Mingel is a new weekly drop-in meeting place where newcomers, internationals and locals can connect, share converations and enjoy a cup of coffee together. The event is informal, free, and open to everyone – no registration needed.

Representatives from Welcome Hub Haugalandet are also present to answer questions about living and working in the region, assist with job-related guidance, or simply have a chat.

A well-spent coffee break

The first gathering welcomed seven friendly participants who stopped by. The group included both international residents and Norwegians, all curious to meet others and learn more about life in Haugalandet.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with good conversations and people sharing experiences, interests, and helpful tips – from work life to communities and groups matching different hobbies, including art classes and mushroom picking groups.

One-to-one conversations with NAV

Dag Haaland from NAV Marked Nord-Rogaland also joined the event, giving participants the opportunity for short one-to-one conversations and helpful guidance related to working life and the Norwegian job market.

Coffee Mingel takes place every Tuesday from 10:00–12:00 at Haugesund Public Library.
